We are pleased to announce that our paper, first-authored by R. Kimura and corresponding-authored by Takehiro Sumita, has been accepted for publication in ISIJ International.

In recent years, many researchers in Japan have faced serious difficulties in using hot-thermocouple techniques. Commercial systems are no longer manufactured domestically, key electronic components have been discontinued, and system maintenance often depends on undocumented legacy designs. These issues have made it increasingly difficult to conduct high-temperature experimental research.

To address this situation, we developed a LabVIEW-based hot-thermocouple system with a greatly simplified circuit design. The system enables high-precision and highly flexible temperature control, including advanced profiles such as sinusoidal temperature variations.

We hope that this new system will significantly lower the barrier to high-temperature in-situ experiments and help sustain and expand experimental materials research communities in Japan and beyond.
