{"id":247,"date":"2026-05-10T13:48:47","date_gmt":"2026-05-10T04:48:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.melts.kyushu-u.ac.jp\/?p=247"},"modified":"2026-05-18T15:07:46","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T06:07:46","slug":"%e3%80%90new-publication%e3%80%91high-temperature-rheology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.melts.kyushu-u.ac.jp\/en\/2026\/05\/10\/%e3%80%90new-publication%e3%80%91high-temperature-rheology\/","title":{"rendered":"\u3010New Publication\u3011High-Temperature Rheology"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Detailed are here (Linkedin of Prof. Saito)\uff1a<a href=\"https:\/\/x.gd\/18sDH\">https:\/\/x.gd\/18sDH<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are pleased to announce that our paper written by <strong>Mr. Kento Nakanishi <\/strong>(PhD. cand.) has been accepted and published in the international journal <strong><em>Metallurgical and Materials Transactions B<\/em><\/strong>, a leading journal in the fields of materials science and metallurgy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this study, we investigated <strong>fluoride-reduced mold fluxes<\/strong>, focusing on how <strong>chemical composition (the SrO\/CaO ratio)<\/strong> and <strong>shear flow (rotation)<\/strong> affect their <strong>viscosity (fluidity)<\/strong> and <strong>crystallization behavior<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our results revealed that adding SrO does not change viscosity in a simple, linear way; instead, the viscosity exhibits a <strong>non-linear response<\/strong> to composition changes. We also found that crystallization during cooling is strongly influenced by whether shear is applied, and that the <strong>primary crystalline phase<\/strong> can switch from <strong>cuspidine<\/strong> to <strong>akermanite<\/strong> depending on the flux composition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These findings provide important insights into the relationship between <strong>structure, properties, and kinetics<\/strong> in mold fluxes.
